Udupi: Gas tanker collides with lorry, driver injured

Udupi, May 1: A serious accident involving a gas tanker and lorry occurred at Katapady National Highway 66. The driver was seriously injured in the accident after a gas tanker collided with a lorry back.

The incident occurred late tuesday night and traffic collapsed for some time.

The driver was seriously wounded in the accident in a bid to miraculous escape the crash.

People struggled to extract the driver caught in the driver's seat.

The incident occurred at the Kaup station limits. Police along with the locals assisted in the smooth traffic which was blocked due to the accident.

A case has been registered at the Kaup police station.
