Udupi: Financial irregularity - court issues non-bailable warrant against PDO

Udupi, May 4: On Friday May 3, a court here issued non-bailable warrant against Appu Sherigar, working as panchayat development officer, for financial fraud.

Praveen S Rao from Ullal Someshwar had filed complaint in Kaup police station, alleging that Appu Sherigar had committed a financial fraud of Rs 3,30,000, besides encroaching the land and posing threat to his life. But the police who investigated the case, had filed 'B' report.

Praveen, who raised objection to the 'B' report, approached the court. Judge of the second additional civil and JMFC court here, Shobha E, ordered registration of criminal case and ordered issuance of non-bailable warrant on May 3.

Advocate, Siriyara Kalamargi Prabhakar Nayak, had represented the plantiff in the case.
