Mangaluru: Murder attempt - four accused taken into custody

Mangaluru, May 10: Policemen attached to Pandeshwar police station here succeeded in taking into custody four persons from near the bus shelter at Nandigudda on Thursday May 9. They have been accused of attacking two persons with knives and bottles and making an attempt to eliminate him.

The arrested persons happen to be Jnanesh Nayak (20), resident of Gopal Nayak Compound at Padekallu, Rahul Tingalaya (25) from Hoige Bazar, Nitesh (25), resident of PadmanabhaTingalaya compound at Hoigebail, Pandeshwar and Charan (32) from Hoige Bazar.

The knives and bottles used by the accused for the crime have been seized. The arrests were made, based on a complaint filed by Mahendra and Surag, duly accusing the gang of attacking them with knives and bottles with the intention to murder them.
