Udupi: ‘Aparanji’ to highlight coastal Karnataka's talents on June 2

Udupi, May 30: Aparanji, a unique talent show, will be held on Sunday, June 2 at Ravindra Mantapa, MGM College in Udupi.

Addressing a press meet at Udupi press club on Thursday, May 30, event organiser Avinash Kamath said that renowned talents from Coastal Karnataka will come on a single stage and enthrall the audience with their performances.

“I came up with the new concept ‘Aparanji’ and like-minded friends DJ Ambarish, Pramod Shetty, M Ravi and Shreyas Kotian have joined their hands to make this distinct programme a reality.”

Many talents from the coastal region are today shining at state, national and international level and have a huge fan base here.

“Aparanji will consist of solo and duet performances such as singing, saxophone, yoga performance, painting, rubik cube solving, jugalbandi and many other different programmes,” he said.

The formal stage function before the event will be inaugurated by former MP Jayaprakash Hegde and multi-talented artiste Soujanya Hegde.

Aparanji is also dedicated to raise funds for the treatment of Ajith Shetty, a student of MGM College, who was lost his right hand in an accident.

Thanushree Pithrody, a renowned yoga talent who holds the Guinness World Record for ‘most full body revolutions maintaining a chest stand in one minute’ will perform.

Anjali Shanbogue, coastal Karnataka’s saxophone player, who started her music career at the age of 8 will perform. She has performed in more than 2000 shows and plays different genres of music like Bollywood, fusion, devotional and classical.

Prithveesh K, a Rubik speed cuber, who trains students to solve Rubik cube and puzzles and recently created a Guinness World Record will put up a show.

Pradeesh K, a speed painting artist will enchant the audience with his live performance. He holds national and world records for speed painting and is known as an experimental artist. He does art using brush spray, thread, sand, salt, coffee, tea, grains and artwork by leg and blindfold.

Karavali Star famed and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa semi-finalist Rajath Mayya will add melody to the event with his singing.

Another playback singer Dr Abhishek Rao will entertain the audience.

KGF fame playback singer Aira Acharya, playback singer Vaishnavi Ravi will participate in the event.

The performers will be felicitated by the organisers said Avinash Kamath.
