Mangaluru: Police to slap suo moto case on circulation of obscene video on WhatsApp

Mangaluru, Jul 3: B M Laxmi Prasad, superintendent of poilce (SP) of the district has said that the police will be slapping a suo moto case with regards to an obscene video that is making rounds on WhatsApp in which a girl and some boys are engaged in intimate acts.

The press statement given by the SP said, “It has come to notice of the police department that two videos of a girl and boys engaging in an intimate act in a blue-coloured car are being circulated through WhatsApp. Police will be taking up a suo moto case in this regard.

“We request members of public not to transmit the referred videos over social media or save the referred videos on their phones/computers, doing so is an offence under 354C of IPC and 66E, 66A of IT Act and the persons (including group admins) will be made accused under the said sections,” the statement said.

    It looks as if the girl is under the influence not alcohol or some drugs . If that's the case then this may be considered as gang rape . Question is did the girl willingly went with this gang or not. Disgusting generation. Parents toil hard and try to give them good education and this is what they do in college.     How it would be an intimate act? its clearly shows that the Video was taken during Gang rape.How can a girl agree to take video when she was unconscious?
    Police are trying to simplifying the rape case in order to avoid Public pressure on them.
