Mangaluru, Jul 3: A man was hacked to death at Chembugudde near Thokkottu on the night of Wednesday, July 3.

Narayana (45) is the person deceased. He was brutally attacked with lethal weapons by his own cousin, said police sources.

Rajesh (35) is the person accused. Police have taken him into custody.

Narayana, who was a coolie worker, stayed at his father’s sister Lalitha’s house at Chembugudde.

Accused Rajesh

Lalitha’s son Rajesh, who worked in Gujarat, used to come home once in three months and this time he was on leave.

As per information available now, Rajesh allegedly killed Narayana using a machete, which he washed after the murder. Family dispute could be the reason, said police sources.
