Bengaluru: 'Return property or face legal action' - Janardhan Reddy to ED

Bengaluru, Jul 4: On Wednesday July 3, former minister G Janardhan Redddy, appeared before the officials of enforcement directorate (ED) here relating to Ambidant mining scandal running into crores of rupees and illegal mining operations through his Obalapuram Mining Company. ED had served summons seeking Reddy's personal appearance before its officials.

Reddy, who visited the office of the ED at about 3 pm, stayed there till 7 pm. It is said that the ED officials gathered important information about the illegal mining operations indulged in by the said company.

Speaking to media persons after appearing before the ED officials, Janardhan Reddy said that he was questioned about Obalapuram Mining Company operations. "Relating to the case, ED officials have impounded some documents and property. The Supreme Court has already ordered it to return them. If the property is not returned, I will file contempt of court case against ED," he stated.
