Mangaluru, Jul 5: Member of Parliament (MP) of Dakshina Kannada, Nalin Kumar Kateel, met minister of state for external affairs, V Muraleedharan, on Thursday, July 4 and sought his intervention in bring back Prakash Poojary, a resident of Kashipatna of Beltangady taluk, who was arrested by the Muscat police a few days ago. 

Nalin Kumar Kateel requested the minister to give required directions in this regard to the officers of Indian Embassy in Muscat. Minister Muraleedharan responded to the request of Nalin Kumar Kateel and got all the details of the issue with the officers of the foreign department. He assured Nalin Kumar that Prakash Poojary will be brought back to India once all the legal formalities are completed. 

In addition, Nalin Kumar also requested the minister to direct the officials of the Indian Embassy in Kuwait to arrange the flight tickets for 13 people, out of the 73 Indians, who went for employment and who still face problems in Kuwait. The minister said that he will have a discussion with the concerned officials on this matter and investigate.
