Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jul 7: According to a senior leader of the Congress party, dissolution of the assembly is also one of the options for the ongoing crisis in the state.

Speaking to the media, Eshwar Khandre, working president of KPCC said, "Dissolution of assembly is also one of the many options that are before us. However, the final decision will be that of the party high command,"

The current cabinet should take a unanimous decision to dissolve the present assembly. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has left USA and is scheduled to reach the capital on the late evening of Sunday.

K C Venugopal also arrived in the city on the evening of Saturday to take a stock of the situation and also to plan further strategy in discussion with the top leaders of the state Congress.

Dinesh Gundu Rao, the president of KPCC, who is on a private tour of Europe, is asked to report back to the capital immediately.

In the midst of all these developments, B S Yeddyurappa, BJP state president says that their party is watching the developments closely but will not approach the Governor for government formation.

Muniratna, Congress MLA of Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency in the capital is adamant on his decision to resign. He said, "We are united under the leadership of senior party leader Ramalinga Reddy. All issues are brought to his notice. He is a veteran, who has won MLA elections seven times and built the Congress party in the city."
