PAC swimmers bag five medals at Bengaluru meet

Puttur, Jul 22: Junior swimmers Siya and Laasya from Puttur Aquatic Club (PAC) won five medals at the 3rd PAC Non- Medallist Swim meet at Pooja Aquatic centre, Bengaluru on July 20.

Siya Bhavin Savjani, a class 4 student of Bethany Higher Primary School, Puttur, won a gold medal in 50 metres freestyle by clocking 36.36 and a silver medal in 100 metres freestyle by clocking 1.18.60. She is the daughter of Bhavin Savjani and Sahana Savjani.

Laasya Kishen, a class 3 student at Ambika Vidyalaya, Puttur, won three medals in the meet. Laasya won a gold in 50 freestyle clocking 43.43, two silver medals in 50 breaststroke clocking 56.27 and in 50 metres backstroke with a timing of 50.19. Laasya is the daughter of Kishen and Deena.



Siya and Laasya won 30 points for their team in the meet.

Both swimmers represent Puttur Aquatic Club and are trained by coaches Partha Varanashi, Niroop G R, Rohit and Yagnesh at the Dr Shivarama Karantha Balawana Swimming Pool, Puttur and at St Aloysius Swimming Pool, Mangaluru.
