Mumbai, Jul 25: “The month of Ati is one among traditional festivities that are celebrated by us every year. It has a special significance as married daughters who return home after marriage are served special delicacies during the month. Our customs are unique. Some of the natural food consumed by our forefathers helped them to remain healthy without medicines,” said author and poetess Dr Sunitha M Shetty,

She spoke as chief guest at the Aatidonji dina programme held by ladies wing of Bantara Sangha, Mumbai Andheri regional committee at Mathoshree Bhavan, Andheri east on Sunday, July 21. The programme was held under the leadership of Bantara Sangha Mumbai vice president Chandrahas K Shetty and Karnataka Rajyotsava awardee, economic scholar Dr R K Shetty.



Office bearers of the Sangha were present. Regional committee ladies wing president Vanita Y Nonda welcomed the gathering and presented an introduction. Vice president Dr Poornima S Shetty compered the programme. Secretary Vajra K Poonja rendered the vote of thanks.
