Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai (SHP)

Mumbai, Aug 4:
Throughout Saturday, Mumbai-Goa highway remained closed following severe downpour. The rains hindered the smooth flow of vehicles over Jagbudi river in Khed taluka, Ratnagiri. But, the highway is expected to reopen on Sunday.

Two landslides had also taken place around Dhamandevi village in Kashedi Ghat section of the highway, causing a pause on traffic.

Khed Tehsildar Shivaji Jadhav said, "Heavy motor vehicles will not be allowed till Sunday morning." Another observation was also where it was found that Jagbudi river was flowing two metres above the danger mark.
