Mumbai, Aug 7: A sessions court rejected a bail plea to Rajkumar Singh (34), on grounds that he is a history-sheeter. The court believed that Singh would abscond once he received bail. Singh is guilty along with two others, of driving away with a police constable in an inebriated state.

The incident took place on July 16, in Chembur's Chedda Nagar, when a police constable asked three people; Singh, Viraj Shinde and Gurav Panjwani to pull their car to the side. The three individuals dozed off in a car parked in the middle of the road.

The accused in the case did not take the constable seriously, but instead put him inside the car and drove away. The incident led to a 15-minute long car chase which ended on Eastern Express highway at Vikhroli.
