Mangaluru: Workshop on traditional Konkani wedding songs held at Fajir church

Mangaluru, Aug 8: ‘Konkani Matov’, Konkani Culture and Arts Foundation here held a workshop on ‘Vovio-Versan’ traditional Konkani wedding songs at the church auditorium of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fajir here on August 4. The workshop was held under the leadership of the ladies unit in the parish and in association with the parish priest.

Parish priest Fr Sunil Veigas, parish pastoral council vice president Roshan D’Souza, secretary John Wilson Mendonca, Konkani Matov manager James D’Souza and Lavina D’Souza were on the dais.

Ladies unit president Irene Lobo welcomed the gathering. Asha Fernandes rendered the vote of thanks. Lavita Monteiro compered the programme.
