Bangalore: Unhappy Leaders Flay Eshwarappa

Bangalore, Jun 17 (DHNS): Minister K S Eshwarappa has come under fire by a section of the BJP leaders for agreeing for the CM’s proposal to induct only V Somanna into the State Cabinet.

At least half-a-dozen legislators, who are hoping to make it to the Cabinet, were rallying behind Eshwarappa to get their wish fulfilled. Eshwarappa, who had openly questioned Yeddyurappa’s style of functioning, has drawn truce with the CM from last couple of days.

The CM, Eshwarappa, Ananth Kumar, MP and a host of Sangh leaders held a meeting on Monday in Bangalore for a threadbare discussion on various issues. The CM reportedly explained the ‘need’ for taking Somanna into the ministry.
While the legislators had brought pressure on the CM through Eshwarappa to give prominence to those who have been with the party for many years, it is now decided only to accommodate Somanna, who recently quit the Congress to join the BJP.
A disgruntled MLA said, “It is now clear that even Eshwarappa is with Yeddyurappa. We thought he would take up our cause and stop the ‘invasion’ of outsiders to recognise hard-working BJP leaders. But Eshwarappa has disappointed us by agreeing with the CM to induct only Somanna”.

C T Ravi, Narayanaswamy, A R Ramdas,  Renukacharya and Jagadish Shettar are reportedly in the list of ministerial aspirants.
