New Delhi, Jun 18: Three more people including a 12-year-old boy have been confirmed with swine flu infection Thursday in Bangalore, taking the total number of people who have tested positive for the pandemic flu in the country to 38.

"Two businessman, aged 38 and 48, who arrived in the IT city from Bangkok a couple of days back were found positive with A H1N1 virus. The 12-year-old boy had returned from Los Angeles," S. Buggi, director of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases in Bangalore, told IANS over the telephone.

"Of the 15 patients from whom we took samples couple of days back, three were found positive with the flu. But there is nothing to worry, all of them are doing well and healthy. We have kept them in isolation wards," he said, adding that the boy's family tested negative.

With these fresh cases, Bangalore has reported five flu cases so far and all of them are undergoing treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases.

Four people including a six-year-old boy tested positive for swine flu in the national capital Wednesday.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has already given a pandemic status to swine flu. According to the global health watch dog, at least 76 countries have officially reported 35,928 cases of influenza A(H1N1) infection, including 163 deaths. Most of these deaths have been reported from Mexico and the US.

There is no need to panic on the hype of Swine Flu. It is just another variant of common cold! It is not fatal- does not cause death.(but spreads fast-due to contact)Sadly both of these are forgotten, while reporting! The hype is created by pharma industry trying to sell expensive medications (Tamiflu by Roche pharma), Hand wash disinfectants...etc...at times of recession the pharma industry need to survive on "fear factor"! It is good to know that Karnataka has banned the sale of these drugs over the counter to prevent misuse.

WHO has given a Pandemic status to swine flu. Be careful and this America is in the mission of distributing this Pandemic to the whole world free of cost and make money by selling medicines for that. I think our government must think seriously before allowing flights from America to land in India.
