Mumbai: Young boy booked for sexually assaulting classmate

Mumbai, Aug 14: J J Marg police on Tuesday, booked a 14-year-old boy for sexually assaulting his classmate. The incident took place on Monday when the victim, a class 9 student, was with her friends on an outing in Fort area, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

As reported in Hindustan Times, a police officer said, “The accused offered the girl a bike ride and she went with him as he was studying in the same school as her. He took her to a place near Sterling Cinema and parked his bike behind a bus. He then sexually assaulted her and bit her hand and neck.”

On Tuesday morning when the victim's mother enquired about the bite marks on her body she narrated the ordeal and the family approached the police. The police officer said the JJ Marg police has registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act, 2012. The case has been transferred to Azad Maidan police station.
