Mumbai: Ganiga samaja celebrates Independence Day, distributes scholarships

Mumbai, Aug 16: Ganiga samaja, celebrated Independence Day at their office at Gulraj Towers, Kurla here. President of the Samaja, Kutpady Ramachandra M Ganiga chaired the programme and hoisted the flag.

Community children were presented student scholarships and prizes. A portrait of Prime Minister Modi was unveiled at the office. Office bearers of Samaja were present.

Balakrishna Thonse read the list of prize winners. Aditya Dinesh Rao, Nithesh B Rao and Smitha Gopal Ganiga gave speeches on patriotism. B V Rao gave an introduction and compered the programme. Chandrashekar R Ganiga welcomed the gathering and rendered vote of thanks.



The programme concluded after the National Anthem.
