Mumbai: Billavara Association presents award to Yakshagana artiste

Mumbai, Aug 26: Gurunarayana Yakshagana Mandali run by Billavara Association held its 15th annual Yakshagana awards programme at Santacruz east on Saturday August 17.

The programme was chaired by Billavara Association president Chandrashekar S Poojary. Sponsors, Billavara Mahamandala president Jaya C Suvarna, guest of honor, journalist Chandrashekar Palethady, Bharath Bank director Sharada Sooru Karkera, Billava Chamber of Commerce and Industry president N T Poojary, Sadanand Anchan Kaup, association vice president Shanker D Poojary, Harish G Ameen, Srinivas R Karkera, honorary treasurer Rajesh J Bangera and cultural committee secretary Ashok Kukyan Sasihitlu presented Yakshagana award for 2019 to famous Yakshagana artiste Ravichandra Kannadikatte and congratulated him.



Muddu Anchan said a prayer in the form of a Yakshagana. Cultural committee president Dayanand R Poojary welcomed everyone, Akshaya monthly magazine editor Harish Hejmady compered the programme. Honorary chief secretary Dhananjay S Shanti presented an introduction and rendered the vote of thanks.
