Nagpur zoo granted approval


New Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS): The Centre on Thursday granted approval to the new Gorewada International zoo in Nagpur.

"Happy to announce the approval of the new Gorewada International Zoo in Nagpur, #Maharashtra, ambitious project of Maharashtra Government," Union minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar tweeted.

In addition to having dedicated areas for animal exhibits, the zoo will include an entrance plaza, bio-park, aviary, trail of senses, tribal village trail, river ride and a reservoir.
