It has been confirmed that mentorship is not just key for retention, it is imperative for student satisfaction. The mentor acts as a change agent, working together with a mentee by means of collaborative inquiry. Relationship building is one of the key elements in mentoring. Chances for Student’s success in life greatly enhances through quality mentoring.

The workshop organised by MAA(Mangala Alumni Association), Mangalore University has been a grand success with more than hundred faculty members representing various colleges from far and near. The resource person Dr Kavyashree K.B did a wonderful job of making every delegate understand the significance of mentoring and clarified several myths attached to the concept of mentoring.
As the convener of the workshop, I wholeheartedly thank daijiworld for making the world know about the workshop, thus supporting the cause of Mentoring, which is the need of the hour. Every parent of today is more concerned about their child and expect the teachers to mentor him/her to become a good human being rather than just a student who scores high percentage of marks.
