Vijayapura, Sep 20: There is a twist to the incident of the suicide of a young girl called Sudharani, who consumed kerosene and killed herself accusing that her lover had posted their photo on Facebook. Now the young man, lover of the deceased girl is saying that Sudharani was murdered over some property issue and not for the post of their selfie which he had posted on Facebook.

Sudharani Biradara (23), a native of P H village of Budihala of Sindagai taluk in the district was in love with Shivananda of Kerutagi village. When they had gone out together, they had taken some selfies. Shivananada had posted these selfies on his account on Facebook. It was said that Sudharani was upset over the posting of their photographs on Facebook by Shivananada and that is why she killed herself.

Now, there is a twist in the tale. Shivananada has posted on his Facebook account saying that his lover died not because of his post on Faceboook. He says that she was murdered for the sake of property.

In his Facebook post Shivananda says, "My lover is tortured and killed by her own family members. They have killed her for the sake of property and they are trying to frame me. I feel disgusted to live in a society like this. So I am also killing myself. All of you bless both of us that we may live in the other world for 100 years. Please donate my organs after my death. Kindly see that my request is upheld."

Vijayapura: Dismayed at uploading her photo with lover on Facebook, girl ends life

Vijayapura, Sep 20: A young lady committed suicide after feeling embarrassed and dismayed at the uploading of her photo in the company of her lover in Facebook by the boy. The incident happened in Budihal in Sindhagi taluk.

The victim was Sudharani Biradar (23).

When she was in PU class, Sudharani had come closer to a boy named Shivananda from Kerootagi village. The two had fallen in love with each other and used to roam around parks sometimes.

Sometime back, Sudharani had visited the city for coaching when Shivananda reportedly met her. On that occasion, their selfie had been clicked. Shivananda had uploaded this selfie in his Facebook account. Distraught at this development, Sudharani tried to commit suicide by consuming kerosene. Her parents immediately admitted her into a hospital. Still, the girl did not respond to treatments and lost her battle
for life.

Parents of Sudharani have filed complaint in Sindhagi police station in this respect. The police have begun a probe.

    Very sad, but same question about emotional passions. Did Sudharani or Shivananda need Police clearance before uploading their photos together. If she is a major she should have faced life. Going out together means youth/adults give permission to break privacy for they are already in public space. Each time blaming boys wont help towards finding a solution to this menace.
