Bengaluru: Lover tries to kill real estate businessman over property transfer

Bengaluru, Sep 24: Prabhakar Reddy from Mailasandra here, who happens to be a realtor, faced threat too his life from his own paramour, it is learnt. Prabhakar Reddy has filed murder attempt complaint in electronics city police station against Pavitra, resident of Rajarajeshwari Nagar here.

Reddy lives with family at Mailasandra. He was close to Pavitra. Pavitra, since the last some months, was demanding for transfer of properties in her name. On the morning of September 20, Pavitra and Prabhakar Reddy had some heated exchange of words at around 10 am. Both of them thereafter went by car. When the car was moving on NICE road in electronics city, Pavitra reportedly asked Reddy to stop the car about half a kilometer short of tollgate. Immediately after the car stopped, Pavitra, who was sitting in the backseat, reportedly tightened the seat belt around Reddy's throat from behind. Reddy somehow got released from her grip and got down from the car. Still, she followed him and hit Reddy's head and ear with a bottle, resulting in heavy bleeding.

Before going away, she is said to have threatened Reddy to get him eliminated through rowdies if he fails to transfer properties in her name. Reddy, who escaped from there, registered case against Pavitra. In the meantime, Pavitra has secured anticipatory bail, the police said.
