Whoever believes in 'Godse ke daur me Gandhi ke Saath hun' India will be progressive nation with peace.

Some 50 years ago, the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi gave that now-famous “Garibi Hatao”. It is sure now that close to 111 million Indians, or a bit more than 41% of the current poor population in India, would remain poor forever. The future has more shocks: studies show that poverty is getting transmitted to the next generation. This means a vicious cycle of poverty for close to 10% of India’s population.

This Manjunath should ask Modi why in Sonepur the question: why some pockets in the country always remain poor? This district has featured in the poorest district list of the country since independence despite being in a resource- and water-rich area. Or why irrespective of political in power, poverty is chronic in some places. Like, say, the Dangs in Gujarat where his Bharatiya Janata Party has been in power for the last 24 years?

Nearly half (47.9%) the Indian households that have more than five children are severely deprived of shelter, water, sanitation, health and education as compared to 7.8% of poor families without children, according to the latest Indian Human Development Survey released on May 11, 2019.

Up to 24% of the world’s poor live in India, the fifth largest country by gross domestic product in 2017, according to the World Bank. India's richest 1% held 58% of the country's total wealth, which was higher than the global figure of about 50%, indicating extreme inequalities.

This Hindutava mind infested Manjunath is crying 'Hindu Rashtra' despite knowing India's unemployment rate reached 45 years higher and politicians like Janardhan Reddy gifting 42 crores of crown to Lord Tirumala and enjoying her daughter extravaganza wedding of Rs 500 crores in mele of Demonetisation which killed more than 200 people waiting to withdraw from their own accounts.

    Jai Hind

Hats off to Mangalore Police a Big Salute for ur team sir for catch holding the miscreants and putting them inside the bars in fraction of seconds . Miscreants taught that they can easily escape after the incident but they had forgot that this is BJP Govt administration and they will have to pay back for their sins there and then . What Miscreants taught that they can tease Girl and assume that no body can question them .Hats off to the police team again . We should all thank Police team because whenever these types of incident had happened in the past we blame police department saying that police are delaying in taking action against miscreants due to which moral policing happens (I strongly commend that no matter whoever it is ) but this time police were quick in action . Hats off to our MLA'S , MP and District minister for condemning this incident and assuring the punishment of the victims on the same day .People have not made any mistake by voting you Guys . This is a very good lesson for such criminals . Next time whoever even dreams to dare these things they will also have to undergo the same.

I condemn both - the attack by those students and the words of the victim. Physical assault was uncalled for and the law should take its course. However wrong or deplorable statements made by people are, it can always be retaliated and dealt with verbally and in a non-violent manner. This mob culture is something that needs to be stopped in our country today.

This is not license to indulge in unlawful activities. We are Indians and if Hindu means Indian, then all Indians should be proud to be Patriotic. If Hindu means religion, then we need to define the doctrine so that others can decide to understand and believe it, if one is convinced. Otherwise using the jargon that we are all Hindus can be frightening to many.
We have lived in harmony without threatening one another for centuries and we might continue to do so without political patronage.

As much as I condemn the action of these young boys beating up this man, it does give me a sense of satisfaction; because it's about time the people of Mangalore stood up against such right-wing ideologies which have clearly divided the Nation and corrupted the atmosphere of Mangalore. The action of these kids shows a kind of retaliation against those dividing forces; and this is something this country badly needs right now. Just that this desire to retaliate has to be conditioned by education and right political conduct, and not by disrespecting the law by thrashing a citizen of the country. If you want lasting change, do it by educating the masses on humanism, religious tolerance, feminism, global warming etc. Channel your rage in the right way. But we need to get enraged!

I can hear a particular language spoken by the group who thrashed him are from minority community which is majority wherever they choose to live.
Just ignore him if he says something but why take law into your own hand, now reprisal for this might happen in retaliation which might muddy the already surcharged atmosphere of our coastal region with fake allegations of conversions & proposed rallies, unless police warn the members & their leaders with dire consequences the situation might become from bad to worse soon.

I am sure he had good knowledge that he was making a Controversial Statement and there would be reactions. Our Country is very rarely referred to as Hindustan. So the correct comment should be "also known as Hindustan". It is majorly known as "India" all over the World and we are known as Indians not Bharatis or Hindustanis. Our Pledge says "India is my Country and all Indians are my Brothers and Sisters..." . In India we refer to our Country as 'Bharat" (Mera Bharat Mahan) or Hindustan.

    RSRB, Kundapura,

In the whole Indian constitution nowhere hindustan is writern, our country is INDIA /Bharath.

Hindustan is a geographical name given by Arabs .. so it doesnt mean that india is hindustan or hindu rashtra. The concept of hindu rashtra was developed by savarkar who was a terrorist , jailed in kala paani jail for terror attacks and also he had played a vital role in killing our father of nation MAHATMA GANDHI

You are free to imagine as you wish. Apart from Hindustan, our nation is referred to as Bhaarat. Let Modi change the constitution by amending it as Hindurashtra, let's see then.

Hindus are generous. Believe in vasudaiva kutumbakam i.e world is one family, we followed it until now and in future also. Unlike few countries who identify themselves on the basis majority of religion.

If educated people are behaving like this then what bout uneducated people?? Police should take strict action in such matters so that people should think before committing any such crimes.

While taking law in hand is definitely wrong, people like this guy definitely deserve it. Why instigate people? I am sure this will become a huge issue now but let's remember that you can't clap with one hand, both are wrong. While we jave enough issues at hand, there no point to be a reason for another..

Who as given right to manhandle a person eventhough thing is wrong.
There is law in this land to take appropriate steps. It's become same like case of mob lynching. No one is right yo beat anybody. Propper action to be taken immediately.

It seems today's youth is wrongly guided on useless things which are not constructive but destructive. let the youth concentrate on education and career building than involve in unwanted things. Police should punish whoever responsible for the provocation and disturbance.

Kindly do not politicize this issue, Youths should think independently & should know what's good and bad for them. This is a classic example of youths being motivated by agendas & false nationalism. Disgusting act.

Looks like Manjunath has been well trained well and that this is Hindusthan and not India and meant only to live Hindus. Christians and Muslims do not belong to this country.
Can you just imagine what he will become as he grows up if he is intolerant at this early age ?!
Where are our constitutional values of Secularism, Democracy, Peace, ethical and Moral... All those values are closed down 6 years back???

It's very very serious matter should be dealt with iron fist. Nor poor people able to keep cattles for there livlihood are stolen people carrying arms. How one be can safe in india. It's not an pakistan where in minorites are not having any right are living in fearness. Here majority people are targeted much...by teaching us lesson of secularism now and than.
