Udupi, Sep 26: A video clip showing a private bus carrying passengers in excess of its capacity with several passengers facing grave danger while travelling, has become viral in social websites.

The video shows a private bus with name, AKMS, which is the last bus of the day to make a trip to Mangaluru from Udupi, moving to its destination at around 9.30 pm. As there were more passengers than what the bus could accommodate, a large number of passengers travelled by footboard and ladder of the bus fitted behind.

The conductor of the bus followed this express bus in another bus as there was no space inside the bus for him to stand, it is said.

After the video became viral, the people in general have been expressing their anger at the senseless bus ride which would easily have posed danger to a number of passengers.

This can be seen on Udupi- Mangalore express route after 8 p.m. After 8 p.m suddenly frequency of private express buses in this route reduces from 2 minutes to 30 minutes. I do not know the reason , Has RTO not permitted buses after 8 p.m or is it that some bus permit holders do not run after 8 p.m as number of people traveling becomes less . RTO should permit and ensure that KSRTC buses and also private buses from Udupi to Mangaluru atleast upto 10 p.m. Now a days many people working in private companies and students studying have to sit late in the evening.

Yermal highway express bus stop functioned for few days, then DC transfrered now no buses giving stop. Our SP , DC, political leaders might be busy in minting money, this chance may not get again......

Bus is tilted one side and in the case of deep left turn the bus may lose balance due to over crowed at left side of the bus!

What authorities can do, when there is no bus service at that time! Bus owner's lobby is not allowing government buses to operate! It's high time that that government should concentrate on priorities keeping the appeasement aside!
Poverty, Drinking water, Education to all, Hunger free India are the main priorities and the government should keep aside HOWDY/SHOWDY !

this bus is famous in Udupi & DK for rash driving, arrogant, traffic rules violation.... when this bus coming behind any vehicle then they will make a way to this bus & allow to pass bcoz these bus drivers sound the horn & create the fear in other vehicle drivers.

RTO should inspect these bus & should take necessary action.

I suggest SP, DC, and RTO to cancel the permit of the bus , licenses of driver's and Conductor. They are responsible for this. If they see this type, then they must stop bus , or take the bus directly to neatest Police station. This is the only medicine for this.

They give 1000 per month to each and every station they pass....why would they dare to catch them?

Even if a bus hits your vehicle, due to their neglegency, they support them due to this....the bus will get released even before the dead body is released from mortuary......

brake inspection hapen in unbelievable pace via WhatsApp photo...they don't even inspect the vehicle.....even before the dead is cremated the bus starts to hunt the new victim..
