Mangaluru: Two more arrested for assault on man at mall

Mangaluru Sep 26: Two more persons were arrested on Thursday relating to the assault of a young man named Manjunath from Bantwal at a mall on Wednesday, September 25. 

Arrested persons are Mohammed Markaz (19) and Farhaan Farooq (19). 

The total number of persons arrested in this case is now five including a juvenile. 

The assault had taken place after some arguments between a young man named Manjunath and a group of students. The video where Manjunath is getting beaten up had gone viral in social media. 

After the incident, security has been beefed up at the mall in the city to avoid further untoward incidents.

    First of all India is not Hindu rastra.
    It's of everyone.
    First they start with saying it's hindu rastra then they say you should go to PAKISTAN and finally they force to chant those meaningless 3 words.

    We believe Police Dept. will arrest the perpetrator Manjunath, who is liable for this nuisance & ensure to Love his Rashtra, Love his Dharma and Respect others too and we shall all live in harmony !!!

    Saying India is a Hindu Rashtra is not a Crime as per IPC. Anyone can say it, even I.

    If one cannot tolerate this instead of Ignoring it, its their problem then. Manjunath dint force the other party his thoughts down their throat or forced them to say it. If they assault the former just because he said Hidhu Rashtra then it definitely is a Crime and Law needs to take its course. Its not Bhaagya Govt this time & since Nalinaanna is there at the helm, am sure law will be followed on the right course on this case.

    Could you please state the sub clause # of IPC where it defines saying Hindu Rashtra is not a Crime. You people are unnecessary commenting for the sake of comment or against once community .

    I feel Dr Harsha has to inquire both the parties and also the girls, which Manjunath is claiming to have been teased by the boys and find a quick and real solution to this issue.
    Then Dr Harsha has to address the press conference and give all details and close the chapter.
    Hope good sense prevails as Navaratri is round the corner and any untoward incident should be avoided
