Mangalore: Police Raids at Kuppepadav - 485 litres of Petrol Seized

Mangalore, Jul 26:
Police have seized a total of 485 litres of petrol in raids across the taluk.

Police on Friday raided two buildings at Yedapadav and seized 445 litres of petrol stored illegal in the buildings. A total of 410 litres from the first building and 35 litres from the second building were seized and is valued at Rs 35,000. The owners of the buildings, Narayan and Pushparaj have been arrested.

In another raid into a shed belonging to Mohammed Shareef near Durgeshwari temple at Kuppepadav, police found 40 litres of petrol that was illegally stored for sale. Sharref has been arrested by the police.

Cases have been registered in this regard in the Bajpe police station.
