Mangalore: Three commit Suicide in Twin-districts

Mangalore, Jul 27: Vishwanath (32) from Ashoknagar in the city committed suicide at around 4 pm on Sunday July 26, by hanging himself from a beam of the bathroom roof in his home. The family members went in search for him, after he suddenly disappeared after 3 pm. He was unmarried and was an electrician by profession. It is believed, he was frustrated at not being able to clear off the loans raised from his friends.

Ratna Naik, wife of Prabhakar Naik from Kelarkalabettu near Malpe, ended her life by immolating herself after emptying a can of kerosene on herself on Saturday July 25, when no one was at home. It is said, she was worried over the drinking addiction of her husband.

Ponkra (60) from Kuntibail, Miyyar in Karkala taluk jumped into a well on Saturday July 25 and ended his life. His close ones said, he was frustrated by nagging health problems.
