Kasargod, Jul 27:  Thousands of devotees thronged Madananteshwar temple, near Manjeshwar on Sunday July 26, to offer puja to Naga during the occasion of Nagara Panchami.

The devotees offered milk, tender coconut and other offerings that are traditionally used in worship of serpent idols during Nagara Panchami. The temple is famously known as temple of 18 towns.

It is a common scene here every year on Nagara Panchami that the devotees pay obeisance to the Naga idols and seek lord’s blessings.
