Mangalore: `Aab-les’ Play at Monthy Theatre in Kalaangann on Aug 2

Mangalore, Jul 27:
Mandd Sobhann, Konkani organization striving to promote Konkani, its literature and folk art, will be staging `Aab-les’, a Konkani comedy and social play during its monthly theatre at Francis and Louiza Fernandes Cascia stage, Kalaangann, Makale, here on Sunday August 2 at 6.30 pm. 

The play `Aab-les’ explores the various facets of greed in the prevailing society and is touted to be a trend-setter of sorts among the play staged at the monthly theatre by the team Mandd Sobhann in the past.
 
The play `Aab-les’ is translated by Rony Crasta Kelarai to Konkani from Kannada play `Sanmsaradalli Sanidapa’ authored by K V Akshara, which was again translated from a Russian play. Veteran comedian John Permannur will direct the play. Daiji Dubai top actor award recipient Christopher D’Souza, Floyd D’Mello, Leslie Ferrao, Blassy Monteiro, Adleen D’Souza, Savia Monteiro, Mazy Nazareth and Lavina Monteiro will be part of the star cast.
 
Meanwhile, top 10 DVD and VCD of Soad - 2, a talent hunt for top singers, will be released at the venue on the day at 5.30 pm.
