Mangalore: Three drown in Twin-districts

Mangalore, Jul 28: A member of a family of five pilgrims hailing from Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu that was on a visit to Kollur in Udupi district, named Rajashekharan (32) slipped while taking bath at the bathing bay of Kollur Goddess Mookambika Temple. As the draught of the river was strong, he was washed away immediately.

Louis D'Souza (83) from Kuduremajal in Badagannur village in Puttur taluk accidentally slipped and fell into the tank located by the side of his home on Monday July 27, and died. A case was registered in Puttur rural police station in this connection.

Chitravelu (41), a resident of Tamil Colony of Duggaladka Kootelu in Sullia taluk drowned while taking bath in the rivulet near his home. As he was alone at the time, no one could rescue him. When another person came there to have bath later, he came to know of the tragedy. Chitravelu reportedly suffered from epilepsy.
