Thane, Nov 25: Two bikers on Saturday fell off a flyover in Thane and landed on the road 25 feet below. As per TOI report, the rider, Chandan Singh (19) died on the spot while pillion rider, Neelam Jaiswal (18) has been admitted into hospital with head injuries. Another pillion rider Poonam Jaiswal (22) suffered minor injuries since he fell on the flyover itself.

The three friends were returning from a party around 6.15 am. The police said that they suspect the rider was drunk.

Reportedly, Chandan Singh was riding on the Kapurbawadi flyover when the accident took place. Police said Singh was to drop the girls home and lost control of the bike, ramming it into the railing of the bridge. "Due to the collision, Chandan and Neelam fell off the flyover, about 25 or 30 feet below. The bike lay a few feet away on the flyover,” said V Mosamkar, assistant inspector of Kapurbawadi police station, as quoted by TOI.

"It is possible that the biker was drunk. This could have led to the accident," said the official, as reported in TOI.
