Puttur: Kalandadka shootout incident - One more accused arrested

Puttur, Dec 3: Police on Monday, December 2, arrested another accused regarding the shootout incident that took place at Kalandadka, Kodipadi village on November 26. The arrest was made on the basis of information provided by another accused Sadiq alias Blade Sadiq who is already in police custody.

The arrested suspect is Guruprasanna Rao (28), son of late Ishwarachandra Rao, resident of Salethoor, Kolnad village, Bantwal. He is accused of hatching a conspiracy for the crime along with other suspects in a hotel in Vittal. He was remanded to judicial custody till December 11.


Abdul Khader

The pistol used for shooting was seized from Kudthapalke, Anebail, Nekkilady village.

It may be recalled, miscreants had shot Kabaka Kalandadka resident Abdul Khader (35) on November 26. A special team was formed under the leadership of Puttur assistant superintendent of police to nab the accused.
