Mangaluru, Dec 9: Congress faced defeat in the by-elections and secured only two seats. When asked about Congress’ future, senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary said, "I had predicted BJP's win and said it earlier itself to our party representatives. If Congress keeps on showing their arrogance, it is impossible to stop BJP. I have repeatedly said this, but Congress did not understand. I hope they have understood what I said earlier.”
He was speaking to media during his visit to Prashanth Nivas at Jeppu on Monday, December 9, to celebrate the birthday of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.
"The future of Congress is out. Last month itself, I had said our party members to make proper preparations and not to show arrogance. But no one listened to my words. Today, they are facing the consequences. BJP will win and Congress will be dead,” he said.
