Belthangady: Two Killed, Three Injured in Building Collapse

Belthangady, Sep 6:  In a tragic incident, two persons were killed and three seriously injured  in a building collapse, near the town municipality office here on Saturday, September 5.
 
The deceased have been identified as Jayananda Gowda and Shridar, residents of Hokkila in Nada village. They were rushed to the hospital but succumbed to grievous injuries.  The three injured,  Jagannath, Santhosh, Niranjan are  undergoing treatment.




The collapsed building , Jayalaxmi Garage , is owned by Vishwanth Shetty, where  vehicle repair works was undertaken. The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained.
 
The Fire department and the police rushed to the spot. Belthangady police have registered a case  and are investigating.
