Mangalore: Asal Kalakar Stages Bolpo at Monthly Theatre in Kalaangann

Bolpo, Konkani comedy play was staged by the artistes of Asal Kalakar at the monthly theatre of Mandd Sobhann at Kalaangann here, recently.
 
It was the second show while the first was staged earlier at Town Hall. The first scene of Bolpo, Konkani comedy play was indeed different than the earlier show held at Town Hall. Dramatist Felix Lasrado enacted the contemporary Konkani song Adkulogo Budkulo Tela – Tupacho in 7 types, in the first scene of Bolpo, play which brought applauses by the viewers.



Mimicry and one-act play that was staged during the intervals while the drama went on for nearly 3 hours, breaking the usual record of 2 hours in every monthly theatre of Mandd Sobhann.
 
Nellu Permannur is the playwright of Bolpo, Konkani comedy play and also directed the play along with dramatist fourteen-year-old Shawn Rodrigues. Titus Noronha felicitated youngest play director Shawn Rodrigues on behalf of Mandd Sobhann on the occasion.
 
The playwright Nellu Permannur has taken considerable amount of pain, in conveying the social value in the present time. The play was successful indeed in enthralling the viewers beyond their expectations.
 
Bolpo, Konkani play is the fourth drama of Asal Kalakar while their fifth drama Bostu, will be staged in next year. 
 
Bolpo, Konkani play will also be staged in Bahrain on Thursday November 26 and in Dubai on Friday November 27.
