Bangalore, Sep 10: Congress man R V Venkatesh was on Wednesday September 9 was appointed as chief whip of the opposition in the legislative council.

Chairman Veeranna Mathikatti made an announcement in this regard. Venkatesh will serve in the post until ihis retirement on June 14, 2010.
