Udupi, Sep 11: The support of public is essential for the success of social welfare programmes that are undertaken by Jaycees. Jaycees has organized several programmes for the youth, in order to make them aware of their social responsibility and help them live in a refined manner, said Jaycees east zonal president John R D’Silva.

 
John D’Silva was speaking after inaugurating Kamanabillu – 2009, Jaycees Week of Kaup organized at Billava Sangh auditorium, Kaup here on Wednesday September 9.  
 
Kaup Jaycees president Arun Shetty Padoor presided. Kaup Sri Hosamarigudi temple managing committee president Ratnakar Shetty Nadikere and Kaup Mahadevi High School head teacher Mohan Suvarna were the chief guests.
 
A fashion show for the kids was held wherein William Machado Shirva, Sabita, teacher and beautician Shahida Kaup were the jurors. Jaycees Week director Praveen Kumar Gurme, east zone officer Jagdish Acharya, former president Jagdish Bangera and Jayceerette president Gayatri Acharya were present.
