Mumbai, Dec 21: Shiv Sena’s deputy Vikhroli Vibhag, Pramukh Chandrashekhar Jadhav was injured in a shooting incident. The 55 years old leader was on a visit to a Sai Baba temple at Tagore Nagar along with his son and colleague at about 7.10 am on Thursday when a man about 22 years old shot him inside the temple.

Police suspect that a gangster might have ordered the shooting. The investigations were transferred to Mumbai Police Crime branch, anti-extortion cell on Friday.

As per police sources, Abhay Singh shot at Jadhav after entering the temple. The bullet injured Jadhav’s right arm. Those who were in the temple apprehended Abhay who was trying to run away and handed over to Vikhroli police.

As per reports, Abhay Singh may not be his real name. He was apparently asked to carry out the murder while looking out for a job online. He is admitted into JJ Hospital for injuries suffered by him when he was beaten up by people in the temple.
