Flat in Mumbai catches fire, no casualties reported

Mumbai, Dec 22: A major fire broke out on Saturday afternoon, in Thakurli area in Dombivli. Fortunately, the firemen were able to vacate residents and contain the fire.
 
Three fire engines and one water tanker were sent to the spot.
 
 
The fire brigade stated that owing to narrow lanes, providing help was a herculean task. Reportedly, it took the team over 30 minutes to reach the spot. The investigation of the source of fire revealed that it originated on the third floor of the apartment.
 
As per the firemen, one of the residents on the third floor forgot to switch off the gas while she was preparing the food which caused the catastrophe.
