Mumbai: BMC plans flyover to link Senapati Bapat Marg with Western Express highway

Mumbai, Dec 28: A flyover is planned by BMC across the Mithi that will link Senapati Bapat Marg at Mahim with Western Express Highway at Bandra. Chief minister Uddav Thackeray in a meeting with BMC officials on Friday had discussions about the flyover and eight other missing links in the city.

Motorists take thirty minutes during peak hours only to reach Tulsi Pipe Road from Bandra junction travelling up to Mahim causeway and narrow road near Raheja hospital. The flyover will reduce the congestion at the causeway bridge and the road leading to Mahim. Those travelling to commercial areas of Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi and Dadar will benefit by the flyover.

Mahim-Sion Link Road to K K Krishna Menon Marg in Dharavi, Hans Bhugra Marg at Santacruz East to Bharath Nagar Road, G R Varaskar Marg at Bandra west to ROB connecting WEH and P Godrej Marg- Vikhroli station to Vasantdada Patil Marg were also discussed at the meeting.
