Mumbai: Ramachandra Uchil centenary celebrations held

Mumbai, Jan 6: A series of programmes were held as part of the centenary birth anniversary celebrations of author, writer and organizer Vidwan Ramachandra Uchil at WRIC auditorium, Vidyanagari, Santacruz on Saturday.

Head of the Kannada department and lecturer, Mumbai University, Dr G Upadhya presided over the programme.

Dr G N Upadhya said that we have to continue lighting the lamp lit by Ramachandra Uchil.



Several Kannada authors, journalists and lecturers were present. The life and literary works of Uchil were remembered.

Kannada department co-lecturer Dr Poornima S Shetty welcomed the gathering, compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.
