Udupi: BJP Undertakes Fundraising ‘Padayatra’ in Kaup Locality

Udupi, Oct 8:
Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon inaugurated a ‘padayatra’ in Kaup, near here, on Wednesday October 7, to raise funds for the victims of the recent floods in 15 districts of Uttar Karnataka.  
The padayatra also covered various towns and villages including Katpady, Shirva, and Padubidri to raise funds for flood victims, as well as to collect clothes and essentials.


 
MLA Mendon said that fundraising campaigns were underway all over the district and all relief aid will be properly distributed to the concerned people. 
 
BJP district vice-president Katpady Shankar Poojary, taluk panchayat member Jagdish Acharya, Ramesh Hegde, Arun Shetty Padoor, Kaup block BJP vice-president Shivaprasad Shetty Yermal, women’s Morcha block president Vasanti Madwaraj, vice- president Shambavi Kulal, SC/ST Morcha district president Shivaraj Mallar, contractor Kishore Kumar Gurme, Chandrahas Shetty Kotalakatte, Dinesh Muloor, Krishnaraj M, Kaup BJP block president Ravindra Shetty Kollabettu, and local BJP leader Mattar Ratnakar Shetty, were present on the occasion.
