Bangalore, Oct 11: Karnataka Samskritika Kala Pratishtana will hold National Level Yakshagana Sahitya Sammelana at Ravindra Kalakshetra here from December 18 to 20. It is an attempt by the organization to preserve and promote beautiful art form Yakshagana, which is in practice in different parts of the state and known by different names.

Addressing media persons, pratishtana president S N Panjaje said that the three-day convention will be a blend of Yakshagana art and literature. The convention is organized as an earnest effort to promote and introduce Yakshagana in a greater scale at the national level, he said.

So far, the pratishtana has held four conventions at places namely Gadag, Udupi and Kasargod including one in the city. This is the second time the convention is being organized in the city and fifth in the state. The convention will also open doors for participation of national level Yakshagana artistes who have settled up north, observed Panjaje.
