Minor rape victim attacked with acid in UP

Hapur (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 3 (IANS): A minor rape victim was attacked with acid in Hapur district on Sunday.

The victim and her family alleged that a relative of the accused was pressurizing them for a compromise and when they refused, she was attacked with acid.

They alleged that the accused threw acid on the girl's feet and fled saying that the next time, it would be her face.

The victim has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Babugarh police station in-charge Uttam Singh Rathore said the minor was allegedly raped in June 2019.

Police had arrested a man, identified as Dilshad, in the case.

Senior police officials said that the acid attack was a result of dispute between the girl's family and the neighbours.

The police said that the matter is being investigated.

    It is very sad to read the above comments..Conditions in UP is far better than the previous govts. One CM had told boys aare boys regarding rapes. This Yogi's govt e has done many encounters.So rowdies are afraid and want to be in jails to protect themselves from encounters.. UP is a big state with crores of population . Can a cm restrict the moral behaviour of citizens? There is death sentence for rape of minors in UP. Dilshad is the culprit. Let the police take care of him.

    Please, don't comment about Yogi as he is projected to be a probable PM. They are not supposed to condemn or comment about rape. They comment on national security, anti-national elements, persecuted minority and investmant. Also congress mukth India but not rape free India.
