Brisbane student offers $20 to kill cockroach

New Delhi, Feb 19 (IANS): In a hilarious incident, a Brisbane student has offered to pay $20 (approx Rs 1,430) to those who can kill an 'abnormally large' cockroach in his kitchen.

As per media reports, it all started after the student sent out a desperate plea seeking help in getting rid of a huge cockroach after spotting it in his kitchen. He quickly took to gumtree and placed an advertisement seeking help.

It read "Need Roach dead right now, ASAP" and had his address. It also said: "Will pay $20 for the task. Location somewhere in the open in living room/kitchen. Bring spray etc if needed, I only have thongs, cloth, broom. Please respond asap."

As the news went viral, social media was abuzz with reactions. A user wrote, "Anyone up for it? It's scarily common to see cockroaches in restaurants and bars but it seems Australia suffers the most as the Brisbane student offers to pay someone $20 to kill a large cockroach stopping him from getting food."

Another user wrote, "I'll need a large jar, preferably plastic. I'm interstate so air fare will be needed. Some shrieking may ensue, but there's a good chance I can nab em."

"Now I want to give caffeine to a cockroach just to see what it does. Will it spontaneously explode? Will it start running around super fast," asked one user.
