Lockdown was delayed to pull down Congress govt in MP: Kamal Nath

New Delhi, Apr 12 (IANS): Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Sunday blamed the Centre for delaying the lockdown despite the World Health Organization (WHO) declaring Covid-19 as pandemic.

Addressing a press conference, Nath said: "It is obvious that Parliament was run to show that everything is normal and only after Shivraj Singh Chouhan took oath, the lockdown was announced".

The former CM said that Parliament was functioning when Odisha and Chhattisgarh assemblies were adjourned and the MP Speaker too had adjourned the House due to coronavirus. So, it was to show that if Parliament could function, why not the assembly."

He said the situation in the state has come to such a pass that there has been no cabinet expansion and despite health emergency, there us no health minister in the state.

He said the congress MLAs had been lured... all of them were not Jyotiraditya Scindia supporters who crossed over to the BJP, which led to the fall of the Congress government.

"All are not Scindia supporters, some have been lured by money. Many of these MLAs had informed us about the kind of allurements. But they will have to face the voters," Nath said. "Besides, there would be dissent from the local BJP candidates".

He said Chouhan's cabinet expansion is delayed because of dissent in the BJP.

Rajya Sabha MP and Congress leader Vivek Tankha on Saturday wrote to President Ram Nath Kovind demanding imposition of President's rule in Madhya Pradesh if BJP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan fails to form a cabinet.

Calling it an "unconstitutional governance", Tankha hit out at Chouhan, saying the people of Madhya Pradesh deserve a better rule with a cabinet in place, particularly during a pandemic "when the state is suffering deaths daily".

Congress leaders should make more noise, give more press conferences. Ask, where is the black money you promised to be bringing back. Ask, why weren't you able to jail Maa-beta-damaad.

Remind the public Modi's gimmicks to come to power. Tell the public how the party dealt with emergencies in the past. Be vocal, congressmen, hit when the other party is at it's lowest. Remind, that what is exported right now is not manufactured in 2014, it's from 70 years of Congress rule !

Of Course the parliament and then the MP assembly was deliberately kept open against the WHO guidelines only to finish and do away with toppling of a perfectly running govt and install thier own. Once this was accomplished this 'Lock Down' came to thier aid to close the doors without any opportunity for retaliation. Even if Scindia were to walk away from congress why wasn't it kept pending till lock down was over????....Anyway the assembly was non functional during lockdown period.

Kamal chacha , we all know why you fell. As long as you had or have a president like Pappu Khan, it was or is inevitable. Please speak to your bosses to allot you a safe Constituency in Mallapuram Kerala next time where you are sure to win on Muslim votes.

"OK ...Let him ( take to the streets ) " You had replied.
Result ...You are in the streets now.
Don't talk nonsense.Everyone knows why you fell.

Deshbhakt, Mangalore ,, you mean to say Scindia was gullible? Cong won MP only by show casing Scindia as the CM . When he was sidelined due to fear by Cong that he would soon overtake Pappu in due course, he was made a side kick of the useless Kamalnath. If an election is held today in MP with Kamalnath as the CM face, for sure Cong will be routed. So its better for Kamalnath to contest in Kannur or Kasargod .
