Two die in UP after consuming spurious liquor

Kanpur, Apr 12 (IANS): Two people died on Sunday in Kanpur's Mawai Bhachhan village after consuming spurious liquor, police said.

Six others have been admitted in the hospital and their treatment is underway.

Following the incident, the police have issued an alert in the area and launched a probe.

Kanpur SSP Anant Dev Tiwari said: "Two people have died and six others are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kanpur after they consumed liquor in Mawai Bhachhan village in Sajeti Police Station area. The condition of the persons who have been hospitalised is stable."
