All LNJP hospital mess workers test corona negative

New Delhi, Apr 25 (IANS): All mess workers in COVID-19 dedicated Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan Hospital have tested negative, with the hospital planning to restart its mess service from Monday.

"All the mess workers tested negative for coronanvirus. They are however still quarantined as per the protocol. The mess area has been thoroughly sanitised and decontaminated. Hopefully, the mess service will resume from the coming Monday," hospital sources said.

At least 55 mess workers were tested after they came in contact with a dietician, who tested positive for coronavirus and was associated with the mess. On April 23, the hospital shut its kitchen and quarantined the workers.

Around 160 coronavirus patients are presently admitted at the hospital.
