Kerala probes into calls to Covid-19 cured persons

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 26 (IANS): The Kerala health authorities, here on Sunday, begun a probe into calls made to coronavirus cured people.

In Kasargode district, an attempt to contact 10 Covid-19 cured people were made. Incidentally, Kasargode at one point of time had the highest number of cases.

At present, there are 16 Covid-19 active cases and 159 people have recovered.

"Me, one of my friends and my wife received calls. The caller wanted to know details about our being cured," said a Covid-19 cured person.

"I got a call from Bengaluru. The caller said he was calling from the Corona Cell. I got suspicious. When I started asking questions, the call was disconnected," said another person.

A Kasargode district medical official said there was no reason for making calls.
